Geography 445 Field Trip

Generally, students take two full day field trips during the term.  The first trip looks at the layered geography of the Fraser canyon, beginning with settlement and resource landscapes of the First Peoples and through to completion of the Trans-Canada Highway in the 1930s.  For some vignettes from the Winter 2006 trip, see below.  The second takes students across the water for an in-depth look at the historical geography and built landscapes of Victoria.  For some vignettes from the Winter 2006 edition, click here
