Career Prospects Health Care Assistants may find employment in the continually growing field of continuing care. Their work will be mainly with the elderly but may also include working with children, young adults, and families. Employment may be in agencies such as intermediate and extended care facilities, special care units for persons with dementia, adult day care centres, assisted living buildings, private homes and home support agencies.
Dates and Locations
This is a 24-week program: May 31, 2010 to November 12, 2010. Classes are located at the School of Health Sciences Centre, Chilliwack campus. Approximately one-half of the program takes place in a variety of clinical settings throughout the Fraser Valley.
