‌Meet UFV Practical Nursing Instructor Debbie Jobb

Debbie Jobb is a faculty member of the Practical Nursing Diploma Program. She strives to support success in the PN students during their four semesters at UFV by creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment, which guides students towards the achievement of  high standards of practice. Debbie believes this enables the graduating student to more readily transition into their new professional roles in the complex health care system that awaits them.

Debbie's philosophy of teaching includes being focused on designing learning experiences that evoke an enthusiasm for nursing in her students. She demonstrates a genuine caring interest in all student's development, encouraging them and challenging them to realize that "yes, I can do this!" This caring philosophy was a major factor in Debbie being awarded the Faculty of Health Sciences Award of Excellence in Teaching 2014.

Classroom Teaching includes:
Health Promotion, Pathophysiology, Phamacology and Integrated Nursing Practice

Clinical Teaching includes:
Acute medicine and Gerontology care settings
