Practical Nursing Certificate

ADMISSION INFORMATION

Students may apply to the program once they have completed the academic prerequisites. Applications will be considered “complete” once all (academic & non-academic) prerequisites have been met. “Incomplete” applications will be kept on file until they have met all prerequisites; or if there has been no contact  from an applicant for a period of one year, a letter will be sent to the applicant requesting confirmation that he/she is still interested in the PN program. If no contact is made within a given time frame, the file will be inactivated and the applicant will need to re-apply in the future should he/she wish to enter the program.

Once prerequisites have been met, applicants will be sent a letter acknowledging their “complete” status. Each spring complete applicants will attend an orientation session and individual interviews. Additional forms (Health Questionnaire, Immunization Record, Criminal Record Search) will be provided at that time to be completed and returned to the Practical Nursing Department.
