Meet UFV Bachelor of Nursing Student, Tony Chae

‌ Tony is an active UFV student. In addition to attending full time classes (Tony is in his fifth semester of the BSN program at UFV) he is also the President of the Student Nursing Association or "NSA" . A role that involves a lot of interaction with UFV students--which Tony enjoys.

The career opportunities that accompany the BSN program appeal to Tony. He has already had the opportunity to work as a Health Care Assistant at Sutherland Place, Peace River Community Health Center, Alberta. Once he returns from the International Nursing Course this May in Belize, Tony will begin working as a student nurse at the Royal Columbian Hospitals Neuroscience Surgical Unit this summer.

Tony was impressed by UFV's smaller class sizes when he was researching nursing schools.

"I value the hands on interactions with instructors here at UFV. My educational focus is on health promotion-empowering individuals to achieve optimal health and well being. The BSN program at UFV has helped me to develop the knowledge and skills  to achieve this goal."
