Christ Church National Historic Site: Part-time Interpreter/newspaper Researcher
The Christ Church History Project is seeking an Interpreter/newspaper researcher to work at the Christ Church National Historic Site in Hope, BC. Christ Church is the oldest church in British Columbia on its original foundation.

Job Duties
  • Conduct tours of the historic Christ Church to tourists, local community members and parishioners by request during the summer season.
  • Conduct research at the office of the Hope Standard to copy and record all newspaper entries pertaining to Christ Church from 1951 to present.
  • Scan, print and display the collection of articles in both hard and paper copy for future historians, parishioners and interpretive staff.
  • Enter this and other information into a user friendly searchable database utilizing key words developed by the Successful Applicant

Remuneration: $9.50

Agassiz Harrison Historical Society: Full-Time, Temporary/Seasonal Archival Collection Assistant
  • Assist in the the cataloging and documentation of the Archival collection
  • Assist in the daily operation task of running a museum
  • Assist and provide assistance in the scanning and documentation in to the historical society's data base
  • Mentoring seniors with the computer data base
  • Provide administration assistance

Remuneration: $10.00

Agassiz Harrison Historical Society: Full-Time, Temporary/Seasonal Museum/Visitor Information
  • Assits in the daily operations to the museum and Visitor Information Center.
  • Interact with the volunteers/visitors to the museum and information center.
  • Provide guided tours, work in the gift shop and handle cash.
  • Help in the coordinating and scheduling of volunteers.
  • Provide administation assistance.
  • Research given topics and assist in the data management of the Historical Societies archives.
Remuneration: $10.00

The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford:

The mission of the The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford is to become the centre of cultural and creative innovation in the Fraser Valley. We are committed to preserving and sharing the stories of our rich and diverse cultural heritage and showcasing the best in the visual arts from both inside and outside our community.

We are looking for volunteers to serve as docents (tour guides), program assistants, receptionists and those who would enjoy helping with special events.

The Reach is located at the corner of Trethewey and South Fraser Way. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00am - 5:00pm, Thursday from 10:00am - 9:00pm and weekends from 12:00-5:00pm.
