MAT PILATES
Pilates is a system of movement and exercise that was developed in the 1920’s by Joseph Pilates. The goal of the system is to strengthen and stretch the muscles while integrating the mind and body. Pilates promotes physical harmony and balance for people of all ages and physical conditions. Benefits of pilates include longer, leaner and stronger muscles, improved posture and alignment, more energy, a stronger, toned mid-section, improved flexibility and coordination, opening of joints (less pain and tension) and increased body awareness. Please bring a towel or a yoga or pilates mat to class.
