EMPLOYEE TUITION WAIVER PROGRAM
The Employee Tuition Waiver program offers UFV Employees the following entitlements:
- Eligibility for a course tuition waiver applied to any one University credit course per semester outside regular scheduled working hours unless authorized by supervisor
- Eligibility for tuition waiver applied to one additional University credit course per semester, provided no fee-paying student is displaced
- Eligibility for spouses to receive tuition waiver applied to any one University credit course per semester, provided no fee-paying student is displaced
- Eligibility for dependents to receive tuition waiver applied to up to five University credit courses per semester, provided no fee-paying student is displaced
SPOUSES AND DEPENDENTS
The waiver does not include ancillary fees, Student Union Society fee, the Cascade Newspaper fee or the application for admission fee.
Trades Programs: May be eligible to receive a tuition waiver for a trades program, provided there are empty seats in the program on day one (in some cases day two). If there are names on the wait-list, those names must be called until all fee-paying applicants have been offered the seat(s). The decision to approve the waiver will be made on the first or second day of class, and will be approved by the Director of Trades & Technology.
Spouses and dependents who wish to take the program regardless of the tuition waiver, should register into the program with the $200.00 deposit as all other students do. Should there be less than a full class and no wait-list, , when reports are run the waiver will be approved and the it may generate a refund.
NOTE: The waiver does not include any refund penalties if employees, spouses, or dependents withdraw from courses.
