Internationalization: getting started
UFV International is an administrative unit that facilitates, coordinates, and supports internationalization at UFV.
Internationalization:
- increases the international expertise of faculty and staff
- enriches the educational experience of the student body
- brings innovation into educational programs
- develops graduates with skills in intercultural competency and global intelligence
- fosters cultural exchange and understanding
Current Activities

If there is an event or opportunity that you would like posted, please let us know. Events and Opportunities
Learn more about on-campus events and encourage all of your students to get involved. Intercultural interaction and communication are fundamental components of campus internationalization; we encourage the entire university community to become involved in the process.
Building International Partnerships
UFV International can help you make international connections. UFV has over 60 international affiliations that offer opportunities for UFV faculty, staff, and students to work/study abroad. Partnerships also enable international students to study at UFV. If you are interested in building on an existing relationship or would like to establish a new linkage, check out International Partnerships. Students Studying/Working Abroad

UFV International is enthusiastic in supporting existing international projects while also encouraging the establishment of new and innovative opportunities for faculty, staff, and students.Explore the possibility of setting up a field school or study tour.
International Research, Training, and Offshore Projects
UFV International is committed to facilitating international education at home and abroad. We are involved in international contract training and negotiation, research, curriculum development, project/program planning and evaluation, and developing offshore projects. We will work with you to develop and market contract training programs, as well as provide market intelligence and information on international trends in the knowledge industry. Want to host or become a visiting scholar? We can help define and assist with specific activities such as hosting groups of visiting scholars or officials. Check with UFV International, the Centre for Indo-Canadian Studies, and Research and Graduate Studies for more information.
