From Almaty to Abbotsford: A Study Abroad Success Story

Viktoriya Yengalycheva, a business student from Kazakhstan,was thrilled at the opportunity to study abroad at the University of the Fraser Valley. At the top of her class, Viktoriya studies at the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research (KIMEP), one of the many academic exchange partners of UFV.

Viktoriya on academic life at UFV:
The professors were always ready to spend more time with you and additional time after the classes if necessary. They were very understanding and willing to repeatedly explain the course materials if necessary. I asked for references from them and they were very pleased to give them.
Viktoriya on social life at UFV:
All students were very friendly and it’s nice to make new friends from different cultures and share knowledge with them about their cultures and traditions. We spent lots of time together. We went sightseeing in Victoria, Vancouver, and around Abbotsford. Nature is just amazing here.
