Internationalization resources for faculty and staff

UFV International is committed to facilitating and enriching the internationalization experience for faculty and staff. We strongly encourage international collaboration, exchanges, and other academic and research-related initiatives and we are committed to providing opportunities, support services, and the information necessary for faculty members and their departments to get involved internationally. Under the direction of the VP Academic and Provost, UFV International provides leadership, support, and coordination for the university’s international endeavors and serves as a resource centre for internationalizing the campus.

UFV International:

  • assumes primary responsibility for incoming international students including marketing, processing, orientation, activities, support services, and programsinforms students about and administers study abroad opportunities
  • informs students about and administers study abroad opportunities
  • provides support and coordination of exchange agreements for faculty and students
  • assists departments in planning and hosting international visitors and delegations
  • supports and coordinates international projects and proposal development
  • serves as a resource centre for international activities and as a clearinghouse for international initiatives on campus
  • coordinates revenue-generating international contract programs
  • coordinates and supports visiting faculty from international partner institutions
  • contributes to UFV’s Internationalization Fund (IF) and serves as a resource to UFV employees making IF proposals to the VP Academic’s Office
  • is committed to fostering intercultural communication and global intelligence throughout the university and the local community
