Earn money, test out career options, and launch your career now while you are studying. As a UFV student with a valid Study Permit, you may be eligible for one or more of the following work opportunities:
You can land an on-campus, part-time job that is flexible and built around your class schedule. Working on campus gives you the opportunity to work with UFV faculty and staff, while gaining work experience and building up your references.
If you’ve been a full-time student for six months, you may choose to search for an off-campus job. An off-campus job can help you learn more about the workplace, develop new skills, and make valuable connections in the community.
You may prefer to alternate academic studies with paid work terms in a career-related field through UFV’s coop education program. Not only do you get to earn money and develop contacts, you also graduate with a degree and relevant work experience in your field.
If your main goal is to secure references for other employment or graduate school, get involved with the Volunteer to Work program. Being a volunteer is an excellent way to meet people, help others, and make your mark in the community.
