International student tuition and fees

The cost of education in Canada is among the lowest in the world and UFV's international tuition costs compare welll with other Canadian universities. All fees quoted below are in Canadian funds.

Tuition: Academic, Career, & University Foundation Programs

4-month semesters

Tuition each semester

Winter 2012 – January to April

$5,895 flat fee

Summer 2012 – May to August

$393 per credit ($5,895 for 15 credits)

Fall 2012 – September to December

$6,360 flat fee

For the Fall and Winter semesters, you pay a flat fee; in the Summer, you can pay per credit. During Fall and Winter, ESL Program students can take up to 18 ESL credits; University Foundation and academic program students can take up to 5 courses. 

Most full-time university and career programs consist of 15 credits per semester. Science and technology programs may include up to 19 credits per semester. Aviation students who take courses at both UFV and Coastal Pacific within a given semester will generally be charged by credit for the UFV courses.



Tuition: English Second Language (ESL) Levels 30 to 60

Option 1:

Summer 2012 –May/Jun; Jul/Aug

7 weeks – Late session only

Tuition each session

Winter  2012 – March to April

$3,537 (9 credits)

Summer 2012 – July to August

$3,537 (9 credits)

 Fall 2012 – November to December $3,816 (9 credits)

Tuition: post-degree & graduate programs

Tuition fees for UFV post-degree and graduate credentials are quoted for the whole program. Costs are not broken down by semester.

How much does it cost to study at UFV for eight months?

As an international student, you can expect to spend a total of $25,000 CAD (approximately) per year of academic study (eight months). This includes tuition, books and supplies, medical insurance, accommodation and spending money. The amount required may vary, depending on your program of study and personal spending habits. Generally, the breakdown of costs for two semesters (eight months) of ESL or two semesters of academic study at UFV is as follows:
