Unscheduled Service Interruptions for 2013

Error in myUFV when accessing Self Service Banner

Users in myUFV may be reporting the following error when trying to access student, employee, or personal information in Self-Service Banner.

 CPIP Error

This error started after myUFV (Luminis) was updated to the latest version this weekend. We have opened a ticket with our vendor to resolve the issue and will keep you updated.

An immediate workaround to resolve the error is for the user to reset their PIN.


Login problems with eHelpDesk

We are currently experiencing login problems with eHelpDesk.  IT Services is aware of the issue and working on a resolution.  There is currently no projected time for resolution.  Updates will be posted on this site.


Staff Webmail Unavailable

Staff currently cannot access email thru Webmail or remote devices such as iphones. 

Email is available thru the desktop client.  We hope to have the problem resolved shortly


Wireless Authentication Problem

We are currently experiencing authentication and login problems with our wireless system due to a hardware failure.  IT Services is actively working on a repair.  There is currently no projected time for resolution.  Updates will be posted on this site.


Delays in Registering for Fall Term

Outlook email problems in Chilliwack

Chilliwack employee email is inaccessible using the Outlook client on the desktop. Please access email through Outlook webmail at webmail.ufv.ca.  We are working on the problem and hope to have it resolved soon.

Intermittent loss of internet access through provider PLNet

Please be advised that PLNet clients province wide are experiencing intermittent loss of internet access. Technical Support is currently investigating and will provide further information and/or notice of resolution as soon as possible.

We regret the inconvenience this problem is causing.

Our internet service provider, PLNet is experiencing wide spread problems with internet delivery to its user institutions. UFV users will experience slow or no access to the internet. PLNet has provided no ETA for return of service.

Banner forms are unavailable. Our technicians are working with the vendor to resolve this issue.

myUFV experiencing delays in password resets

High volume in Banner is producing delays in myUfv password resets.  This will affect all users logging on as the volume of events is processed.  Password resets could take up to 20 minutes to come into effect.
