Having problems with off-campus access to the licenced "Research Databases"?
Please start by reviewing our off campus access instructions page. Most problems are solved by following the proper steps.
If you are still experiencing problems authenticating, please try the following work around:

1. try logging in using your student number and the default date of birth password (YYMMDD).
2. change your password in MyUFV to force synchronization, and then wait a couple of hours for the system to update your account.

The server between UFV registration and the library's databases is being worked on.  This is effecting off campus access to the library's databases for only SOME of our students.

If the login page does not display contact a librarian or ITS directly (604-864-4610 ; eHelpdesk, or helpdesk.its@ufv.ca).

Problems displaying full text from CSA databases
We have found there is a problem displaying the full text of PDF articles when using some of our new databases from off campus. This problem is occurring in all our CSA databases that link to full text. The list includes Criminal Justice Abstracts, Sociological Abstracts, and all the new Sage Full Text Collections.
Users are experiencing a "Page Cannot be Displayed" error message.
We believe we have found the root of the problem, and are hoping it will be resolved with our proxy server upgrade on Feb. 21st/06.  In the meantime, you are advised to view the articles from on campus, or call the library for assistance.

If the login page does not display.

or
2) You have "clicked here", but the login page times out.

We have recently experienced intermittent outages of the proxy server used to provide off-campus access to the article indexes & databases licensed by the library. ITS is aware of the problem and is working to resolve it.

If the login page does not display contact a librarian or ITS directly (604-864-4610 ; eHelpdesk or helpdesk.its@ufv.ca) with the information that the "Library proxy server is currently not available".
