The UFV Library will send materials from its collections to eligible students at a distance at no cost to the student. Requests for items may be placed using the forms below (for fastest service), or by phone, fax, or mail.

Am I Eligible for This Service?

Students at a distance are defined as those students who are:

  • enrolled only in UFV courses that do not meet regularly (i.e., at least weekly) on one of our major campuses (Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Mission); AND
  • physically unable to come to a UFV campus library because of distance or disability.

Students who are able to come to campus are required to locate and sign out library materials in person.

Canada Post "Library Book Rate;" a prepaid book rate return mail label is provided. Delivery is restricted to within Canada

Canada Post (fax delivery may be arranged upon request); photocopied articles do not need to be returned. Delivery not restricted to within Canada

Hope Centre: the UFV courier service delivers to and picks up from the Hope Centre on Thursdays only.
Photocopying Up to 10% or 1 Chapter Not applicable Staff will photocopy single articles from UFV journals, or up to 10% of a single issue
Not Available for Loan Heritage Collection, Reserve Readings, Reference Not applicable Entire issues of a journal; articles available from full-text databases to which UFV subscribes
