Instructors:

  • Use this form to request library instruction for UFV courses.
  • Requests must be made at least 1 week in advance, to ensure that there is adequate time for communication between you and the librarian, and for the development of the lesson plan and instructional materials.
  • The most effective instruction is tied to a specific assignment, and takes place at the point when students have already begun working on their assignments - they are more likely to have questions about research, and to understand the purpose of the library instruction.

Would you like students to complete a library assignment? Librarians can provide an assignment to reinforce concepts and skills taught during the session. They will review assignments and provide feedback to the student, but will not assign a grade; the assignment is meant to be formative.
