Booking Policies and Procedures
1. Rooms may be booked by current UFV students. You may be asked to present valid student ID at the time of booking. Rooms are not available for booking by non-UFV students or groups. Faculty and staff are expected to use other meeting facilities available on the UFV campus.
2. Booking is done at the Library’s circulation desk. These rooms are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Bookings are required in order to use a room.
3. Rooms are available for group meetings only, not individual study. Individuals occupying tables will be asked to relocate elsewhere in the library.
4. Rooms are booked in 30 minute blocks, up to a maximum of 2 hours at a time.
5. Groups may only make one booking per day.
6. If you do not intend to use a room, please cancel your booking. These rooms are in high demand.
7. If a room remains unoccupied for 15 minutes after the start time of the booking, the booking will be cancelled and the room made available to others.
8. Dry erase markers and erasers are available to be signed out at the circulation desk.
9. Due to the high demand, rooms have been split to accommodate two groups. Please respect the other occupants of the room by keeping noise levels reasonable.
10. The UFV Library Food and Drink policy applies to Group Study Rooms. Eating and drinking are not permitted in the UFV library, with the exception of closed water containers.
11. Students should leave the room in good order. Personal items left behind will be sent to lost and found. Library materials will be cleared and reshelved on a daily basis.
