| Chinese Bridge Mandarin Speech Contest
Our Mandarin 202 students: Paul Kane and Charles Vidal competed in the Non-heritage Beginner's Category in B.C.'s Chinese Bridge Mandarin Speech Contest. The B.C. Chinese Bridge Mandarin Speech Contest was held at BCIT downtown campus on March 8 2009. The contest is province-wide and has been held annually since 2001. Participants this year mainly came from UBC, SFU and UVIC. UFV had two students competing. Paul Kane placed 1st and Charles Vidal placed 2nd. Congratulations to Paul and Charles and to their instructor Huifang (Linda) Qiao.
