Do You Want to Improve Your French?
Research shows that the fastest way to improve your comprehension and vocabulary is to read in French in your spare time. The UCFV Library carries numerous French novels, some of which are listed below under the UCFV Library sub-heading. Read carefully when you find unfamiliar words, try to guess their meaning from the context. Look up key words in the dictionary only when you find the whole sentence totally incomprehensible, and if their meaning seems essential for understanding the passage as a whole.
