UFV is committed to protecting the health and safety of employees and students while they work alone or in isolated situations. The Occupational Health & Safety Office (OHSO) strives to ensure that the UFV employees and staff meet health and safety legal requirements and that we demonstrate due diligence in these types of situations. UFV must minimize risk and assess the level of risk and produce site-specific preventive measures and response procedures to protect the health and safety of, and minimize the risk to, any worker who works alone or in isolation, in circumstances where assistance may not be readily available in an emergency or should the worker be injured or fall ill.
