Professor Peter Raabe received his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 1999. He began teaching at UBC that same year, coming to the University of the Fraser Valley in 2003. His interests and teaching include applied philosophy – especially in relation to the fields of counselling and psychotherapy, philosophy of psychology and psychiatry, reasoning (critical thinking), metaphysics and epistemology (reality and knowledge), and moral philosophy. He is the author of two books, both published by Praeger: Philosophical Counselling: Theory and Practice, and Issues in Philosophical Counselling. He is a contributor to, and the editor of the book Philosophical Counselling and the Unconscious published by Trivium Publications.
