Portfolio Types

Adult learners create portfolios to give a detailed account of their skills and abilities in relation to the outcomes and criteria being assessed. Portfolios are often a creative outlet for learners to show their learning in diverse and relevant ways.

When you create a portfolio you go through a process of identifying what the purpose of the portfolio is, reflecting on your learning, analyzing it in relation to the criteria of the purpose behind your portfolio and compiling evidence that shows you meet the criteria.

There are many types of portfolios people create and each portfolio can have multiple functions.
