Student Opportunities
UFV Student Research Day
The UFV Research Office is planning the annual Student Research Day for March 20th, 2013. This year, students have the chance to present their research in either a 3-minute talk (MicroLecture), a poster presentation, or both.
MicroLectures: Students are asked to submit an application for MicroLectures (see below) by Feb 22, 2013. Requirements for participation in the MicroLectures include: 1) student research conducted under the supervision of a UFV faculty member, 2) completed application form (see below), and 3) signed approval of supervising faculty at the bottom of the application form. Student presenters will be set up with a member of the Research Lecture Series Committee to practice their talk and receive feedback prior to their presentation. MicroLecture applications should be sent to Yvette Fairweather in the research office (Abbotsford Campus, G290b). For questions about the MicroLectures, please contact Yvette Fairweather at Yvette.Fairweather@ufv.ca.
Poster Presentations: Students are asked to register for poster presentations by March 1 2013. Students should send their name, supervisor’s name, project title, and a short (150 – 200 word) summary of the project via email to Ron Wilen at Ron.Wilen@ufv.ca.
UFV Work Study and other student jobs are updated and posted regularly on the Political Science bulletin board in the Philosophy & Political Science wing on the UFV Abbotsford Campus (Third floor, D building).
