Publications and Research call for submissions
The Research office is preparing to publish the ninth edition of its Publications & Research catalogue. The grouping of publications will mirror as much as possible the categories found in our Strategic Research Plan for 2010-15. The categories will include publications, presentations at academic and professional conferences and events, and other publically available research reports from UFV faculty and students for 2012/2013.
We are requesting information on research and publications completed and published between June 2012 and May 1, 2013. This is a great opportunity to showcase the wide range of research activities in which you and your students are involved.

UFV Journal – Research Review
UFV Research Review: A Special Topics Journal is a peer-reviewed online journal. The topics selected for journal issues are those of regional and wider interest. The Review generally encourages submissions from practitioners and scholars, including undergraduate and graduate students, college and university instructors, those working in nongovernmental agencies, and workers with public and private agencies. http://journals.ufv.ca/rr/
Journal of Historical Biography
The Journal of Historical Biography is an international, peer-reviewed, open access periodical that publishes twice annually, in spring and fall. The journal accepts submissions in English or French embracing any aspect of historical biography, including biographical portraits of prominent individuals of any nation, and theoretical, methodological, or philosophical pieces that reflect on the larger issues associated with writing biography or autobiography. Reviews of biographical works and of works related to historical biography are also solicited. http://www.ufv.ca/jhb/
Alphabetically Abbotsford
Announcing the latest publication from University of the Fraser Valley Press: "Alphabetically Abbotsford" - a history of Abbotsford organized according to street names.
At 318 pages and over 50 heritage photographs, this beautiful book includes the contributions of four UFV faculty members: Ron Dart, Satwinder Bains, Molly Ungar and Geoff Fraser. As well, the book features a poem by UFV student Ray de Kroon.
This publication also represents the collaboration of Abbotsford's community members and cultural institutions, working together to preserve the story of the people, the pioneers and the settlers of this part of the Fraser Valley.
