Kathryn started with the School of Social Work and Human Services (SWHS) in April 2011. She has been with UFV since 1997. Previous to working at UFV, she lived in Japan for four years, studying karate and working in a local school board office.  During her time at UFV, she  has worked both in the International and Residence Services departments. Kathryn comes to the SWHS with plenty of international travel, and human-relation experience. She is currently in her last semester of her undergraduate degree (if traveling does not get in her way!).

Laura Tryhuk started with the School of Social Work and Human Services in February 2011. She worked in Student Services for two years before commencing the position of Department Assistant. Laura moved to British Columbia in 2008, after 27 years of dedicated contribution to the University of Manitoba. She worked on the Manitoba Initiative: Interprofessional Education for Collaborative Patient-Centred Practice, in the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of Sociology, Department of Economics, the Faculty of Education Dean's office, the School of Art Director's Office, and the Faculty of Continuing Education. She has attained a designation of Advanced Toastmaster (Silver) and is working toward completing her undergraduate degree.
