Elementary Level

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 120 credits. Within this degree 18 credits must be from third and fourth year courses from teachable subject areas: English, Math, Science, PE, Social Studies (a combination of Anthropology, Geography, History, Political Science, or Sociology), French, Visual Arts, Theatre.

Applicants are eligible to apply while completing the last semester of their Bachelor's Degree. With the exception of EDUC 300, all specific prerequisite courses listed below must be completed by Dec. 31, one semester prior to beginning TEP:

All prerequisite courses must be completed one term prior to the program start (by Dec. 31). EDUC 300 and degree completion courses may be completed in the semester prior to entering TEP. Admission to TEP is competitive and it is suggested that you complete all prerequisites at least one term prior to the program start. Applicants who will not complete the above requirements by the beginning of TEP will not be considered.

All applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements set by the BC College of Teachers. Some course work may need to be verified with the BCCT prior to admission into TEP. For further information you can check the
