Heather Robertson, wardrobe manager, UFV TheatreHeather joined the UFV Theatre Department in 1999. She had worked many years for the Harrison Festival Society coordinating an annual art exhibit and working as a free-lance designer/artist (which she continues to do). Heather completed a Theatre Diploma, a Visual Arts Diploma and a BA while studying at UCFV and an MA in Theatre Production from Central Washington University.

According to Heather, being the costumier for a university theatre department has many advantages. You never have to age — well the body ages, but the attitudes just don't, not when you are constantly surrounded by the lives and energies of so many personalities, real and fictional. No matter how many tensions can fill a workday, there is always a moment for a least one large heartfelt laugh, something Heather thrives on. Observing young people mature to become confident, positive, and productive adults is an amazing privilege. And finally, working with the people in the community who generously volunteer to build the character's costumes is truly an honor.  In total, quite simply, Heather loves her work.
