Indigenizing By Design

Dates & times for 2013 to be confirmed.
Indigenizing by Design is intended for new and experienced instructors and for those who have indigenizing by design in their future. The focus of the workshop is not on why or whether indigenizing is necessary, but HOW to indigenize any curriculum, from adult basic education, college/university preparation, and first to fourth year university courses.

The workshop provides a collegial environment for instructors to design a new course or to redesign a current course. Over the three days of the workshop, instructors will examine their course content, identify and explain the intended outcomes of their redesigned-or newly designed-course; make informed choices regarding instructional methods to increase student engagement and learning; and design methods to assess learning that are congruent with the intended outcomes.

Lunch will be provided on June 7. A certificate will be presented to participants who complete the workshop.
