Open Office is both an office suite and an open-source project. Compatible with all other major office suites, the product is free to download, use, and distribute.  



Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching is a free and open resource site. There are peer reviews and annotations for many of the resources listed. It focuses primarily on higher education but there are some subject area sites for upgrading.
