BC high school Fall 2020 admission requirements

The University of the Fraser Valley is in the late stages of reviewing the new BC high school curriculum. It is expected that all decisions will be completed by May 15, 2019.

The majority of the curriculum review has concluded and it has confirmed that there will not be significant changes to our admission requirements as a result of the new BC high school curriculum. One change to note is that with the revised Geography courses, only Physical Geography 12 will be considered as part of the Bachelor of Science entry requirements. The expected entrance requirements for Fall 2020 and beyond are provided below.

Existing course prerequisites will be maintained but adjusted to reflect the new curriculum, for example Anatomy and Physiology 12 will be inserted in place of Biology 12.  We do anticipate that some non-calculus, but math-based, courses will expand the prerequisite options available to students coming from high school.

To help students in course planning, we have published a tentative list of the Fall 2020 Approved Grade 12 courses used in admission requirements.

For those BC students planning on entering in Fall 2020 and choosing their Grade 11 and Grade 12 courses:
