Adult Education

Program & prerequisite waiver

Program students with transfer or PLAR credit may not meet the 30 university-level credit prerequisite for ADED courses. These students require a prerequisite waiver prior to registration. It is recommended that students confirm with the program advisor ( if they meet the prerequisite requirements.

Non-program students without the appropriate prerequisites may register in Adult Education or Teaching English as a Second Language courses with permission and provided space is available.

Students without the prerequisites or program requirements will need to submit a Program/Prerequisite wavier form. Your request will be reviewed by the Adult Education Department.

Waiver requests are not guaranteed to be approved. An approved waiver does not guarantee a course seat. To increase the likelihood of securing a course seat, waiver requests must be submitted well in advanced of the registration period.

While many are still adapting to online learning, Adult Education at UFV has been leading the way! I’ve taken online courses from other institutions, and UFV’s dedication to technologies made for my best overall online learning experience. The most important thing about my experience at UFV is the feeling that I mattered to the school and my instructors. I wasn’t just a faceless student, even in an online environment.
