Biography

Academic leader, educator, student advocate, UFV alumnus, mentor, historian, baker, reader, tea drinker

Responsibilities:

Supporting Arts student success and the student learning journey

Advocating for students across UFV and beyond

Student academic issues, including academic misconduct and grade appeals

Arts applied learning, including internships, practicums, field trips, study tours, and student research

Curriculum and program review, revision, and design

Policy revision and design related to students

Arts student mobility and transfer in provincial, national, and international contexts

Areas of Specialization and Scholarly Activity:

Academic leadership

Student transition and success in post-secondary education

Program and curriculum design and revision, including learning outcome creation and mapping

Student mobility and transfer

Authentic assessment, including PLAR and portfolio

European socio-cultural history, including gender, race, class, and nation; intellectual history; and popular culture, particularly girls’ magazines
