Mathematics & Statistics Advancement Test (MSAT) $25
The MSAT is an assessment for the UFV School of Business. The 2.5-hour test covers the major topics of BC Grade 11 and 12 math and may be used to meet prerequisites for some mathematics and statistics courses. Contact the School of Business to find out if you need to write the MSAT.
The MSAT is a two-part closed-book test with multiple choice questions. Calculators are not allowed during the test. Part A has 25 questions that test arithmetic, algebra, numeracy, and basic problem-solving skills. Part B has 25 questions covering functions, graphing, exponents, and logarithms. Depending on the courses you plan to take, different scores are required to meet prerequisites. See course outlines in the Academic Calendar for specific course requirements.

Register for the MSAT
To write the MSAT, register in advance through the Office of the Registrar (OReg) at any UFV campus.
The $25 fee is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable; however, prior to the exam date, students may switch to another exam sitting at no extra cost.
The MSAT may only be written once.
