UFV Board Members
As a seasoned executive in the financial services sector, Barry served for 17 years with Envision Credit Union at an Executive level. Barry joined the credit union after serving in senior leadership positions with CIBC and Household Financial Corporation.
Chris Bertram is currently the Head of the Kinesiology and Physical Education department at UFV. Chris earned his BSc (1995) and MSc degrees (1997) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, before completing a PhD at Simon Fraser University in 2002.
Elyssa L. Lockhart
Elyssa Lockhart practices as Associate Counsel with McQuarrie Hunter LLP, working primarily in wealth preservation and corporate law. Ms. Lockhart is also a Director of the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Economic Development Committee for the District of Mission and recently acted as Director of Protocol for the 2014 BC Winter Games Society.
Mr. Hemeon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from UFV in 2004, majoring in criminal justice and minoring in applied ethics and political philosophy. During his time at UFV he studied the theories of politics and public policy, but also put them into practice by serving on the Student Union Society and the university-college council.
Ms. O’Mahony is a Former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) where she was the Critic for Skills Training and deputy Advanced Education critic. Before that, she worked with the Bethesda Association for 18 years as a Community Support Worker, a Food Service Specialist, and a New Employee Mentor.
Ishpreet Singh Anand
Ishpreet Singh Anand is a graduating International student from UFV's campus in Chandigarh, India. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor in Business Administration at UFV’s Abbotsford campus.
John C. Pankratz
John Pankratz is a Partner at Friesen Pankratz & Associates LLP, a certified general accounting and business advisory practice in Abbotsford. He entered public practice in 1986 and enrolled in the Certified General Accountants (CGA) Association of British Columbia professional studies program. He received his CGA designation in 1988.
Justin P. Goodrich
Justin P. Goodrich is the Managing Partner at Giesbrecht, Goodrich & Co.; an Abbotsford-based consulting firm specializing in advocacy & communications and public & government relations. Justin began as a sole-practitioner in the fall of 2008, before merging his firm in the spring of 2012.
Chief Constable Len Goerke joined the West Vancouver Police Department August 5, 2014 after a twenty-seven year career with the Abbotsford Police Department where he retired as Deputy Chief Constable. Len is the past President of the BC Association of Chiefs of Police. He serves as Co- Chair of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Labour Relations Committee.
Randy Bartsch is the Chief Executive Officer of Ecotex Healthcare Service Group. Ecotex provides contract laundry and linen services including uniforms and reusable surgical textiles to acute care hospitals, care facilities and medical clinics. He has been involved with the family business since 1978 and was pivotal in altering the company's focus toward the healthcare sector in the early 80s.
Thomas Davies is in his final year of the Bachelor of Business Administration program, majoring in Accounting and Finance. He has been involved with a variety of organizations at UFV and the wider community, and currently serves students as President of the UFV Student Union after two previous terms in different roles.
Whitney Fordham is the Manager of Alumni Relations at the University of the Fraser Valley. She graduated from UFV with a Bachelor of Business degree, minoring in Economics and with a concentration in Marketing. Currently, Whitney is a graduate student at the University of Victoria, where she is studying public administration. Whitney has been at UFV for over ten years, first as a student and then as a staff member.
Dr. Zoe Dennison received her Ph.D, in psychology at the University of Western Ontario in 1993. She taught at Mount Allison University before coming to UFV (then UCFV) in 1993. Currently Zoe teaches courses in brain and behaviour, gender, language, assessment and the psychology of music.
