Canheit 2022

Call for Proposals

Our colleagues at the University of the Fraser Valley are working hard to ensure that CANHEIT 2022 will be the best one yet as we come together once again – in-person and virtually – from June 21 – 23rd. Recognizing that not everyone will be able to attend in person, our focus will be on providing the best experience possible for all presenters and attendees.

Now it’s your turn to help make it happen

As a conference for attendees by attendees, it’s now your turn to contribute to making CANHEIT the best that it can be. Whether in-person or virtually, get ready to share your great ideas, leverage each other’s expertise and experiences, and show the community how collaboration is key as we emerge from a period of immense change.

Drawing on the vast community of higher-ed IT leaders, experts, and peers, CANHEIT will provide you the opportunity to present (in-person or virtually – your choice) and participate (again in-person or virtually) in thought-provoking and innovative presentations on content topics.

You could share a presentation on:

Innovation & Trends

What new and exciting trends are you enabling, leveraging, or implementing to help your institution realize its objectives and ambitions? AI/VR/AR, cloud, analytics, agile, composable IT, hybrid, digital everywhere?

Collaboration

How are you collaborating and partnering with each other, with institutional stakeholders, with other stakeholders; within your institution, across institutions, or across the sector?

People

Although technology is key it is ultimately about people. What are you doing to lead, guide, retain and support your greatest asset – the people? How are you supporting EDI, professional (and personal) development, and organizational development?

Security

Cybersecurity will be a topic of attention for the foreseeable future however as the overall landscape evolves, so must our response. New threats require new approaches; awareness and appreciation for the challenge is on the rise and there is an acknowledgment of cybersecurity is a team sport. What are you doing, individually or collectively, to respond to the ever-present and ever-changing information security landscape?

Change Enabled Missed Opportunities

Higher education IT is a complex and exciting environment – what have we missed? Are there problems or priorities that we haven’t mentioned? Solutions or approaches that you have pursued – successfully or not so successfully?

How to submit your proposal

The Call for Proposals will be open until May 6.

We are once again using the Ex-Ordo platform to receive proposals – more details on your options for presenting all of your great ideas can be found there.
