The Educational Technologist performs services on all campuses to support educational technology use by faculty, staff and students. Responsibilities include providing support for faculty and students in the online environment; developing and delivering workshops in BlackBoard and other educational technologies; assisting faculty in the development of online courses and resources; providing time critical support for faculty with all e-room issues not related to the computer or network, including troubleshooting maintenance and repair; maintaining all of UFV audio visual equipment, including e-rooms and teleconferencing; providing equipment services campus wide, including bookings, setup, operation, and troubleshooting; providing support to faculty and students in video production and video conferencing.
Two-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution, in educational technology, Instructional design, media production, media services, or equivalent. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in an equivalent position. Experience with computer video/graphics, common office software, and complex computer software, including current computer video/graphics programs, content management systems, and learning management systems.
