Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, this position provides administrative support for the director and office management for the Financial Services department. Responsibilities include facilitating the smooth operations of the office, information management, particularly as it relates to the creation, organization and maintenance of electronic information systems, as well as the design and maintenance of a financial statistics library.  This position is key in planning and facilitating department events, projects and presentations; managing department communication and organizing staff job evaluations.  This position will contribute to report preparation including design, layout and publishing of annual reports for internal and external audiences, as well as design and maintain end user focused websites for the department.  The Assistant will perform administrative functions for the Director, including scheduling meetings and appointments, providing confidential support for committees, maintaining policy and information based documents, and preparing reports, presentations, letters, and other correspondence.


Diploma in business administration or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Minimum three (3) year’s related experience with strong organizational and time management skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Creative, highly resourceful self-starter, capable of managing department projects through to successful completion; ability to remain calm under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Demonstrated technical ability, including working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe, and Desktop Publishing and website design and development. Knowledge and understanding of website integration concepts and basic HTML; experience with web Content Management System.
