The Department of Computer Information Systems invites applications for one (1) full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The date of appointment is August 1, 2018.

Candidates are required to have expertise in algorithms and complexity theory. Preference will be given to candidates who also have a demonstrated interest and expertise in at least two of the following areas: databases, data analysis, operating systems, cloud computing, gaming, multimedia and graphics, robotics and real-time programming.  Other related expertise will be considered.

We are seeking individuals who have an outstanding ability to teach and communicate effectively with undergraduate students, and are able to instruct and develop courses across a range of computer information system and computing science topics.

The minimum requirement for this position is a PhD in Computing Science from a recognized university. Demonstrated excellence, or commitment to establishing a record of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level is also required. Flexibility, industry expertise, currency in topic area, and evidence of scholarly activities are also important considerations. It is expected that all faculty members shall engage in an on-going process of professional development.
