The Department of Physics is seeking qualified applicants who are internal to UFV for a Limited Term Appointment (LTA) during the 2018-2019 academic year. This LTA is for a 12 month appointment (August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2019) and will involve the preparation and teaching of six (6) Physics/Engineering courses in addition to some service to the Department and University. Specifically, we are interested in applicants who are able to teach the following courses as part of our Engineering Physics Diploma program:
In addition to the above courses, we will have several first year (and potentially second year) introductory physics courses available in order to bring the total number of courses to 6. Duties of Limited Term faculty fall within Article 18.2 (Teaching Faculty Duties) of the Collective Agreement, specifically the Teaching and Service components.
The successful applicant must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering Physics, or equivalent. Experience teaching Physics/Engineering courses beyond the first year university level will also be considered an asset. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience teaching at UFV, particularly in the area of engineering physics.
