Located within the Faculty of Professional Studies, the School of Business has some fifteen hundred students enrolled in certificate, diploma, and degree programs. The successful candidate will actively participate in the development and delivery of those programs and engage in academic service activities.

The School of Business invites applicants for a one-year Limited Term faculty appointment in human resource management.  The successful applicant will be expected to teach a total of seven (7) sections, including a variety of lower- and/ or upper level courses in human resource management.

There is an expectation that the successful candidate will engage in university and community service, and the promotion of programs offered by the School.  The service requirement is to partake in the development and execution of PRME-related student competitions and/ or events within the School, and to offer at least one seminar on leadership strategies for global managers to an international group of graduate students.

Duties of Limited Term faculty fall within Article 18.2 (Teaching Faculty Duties) of the Collective Agreement, specifically the Teaching and Service components.


Applicants must have demonstrated proficiency as an instructor and must have a PhD or DBA in human resource management or a related discipline, or must be near completion (ABD).  Applicants with a relevant Master’s degree might be considered if they possess a minimum of five years relevant and recent industry experience.  A CPHR designation is not required but is considered an asset.

Applicants are encouraged to also submit a sample of research/scholarly work. Incomplete applications may not be processed.
