The Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time, permanent appointment to begin in August 2020. The successful candidate will have a specialty in at least one (and preferably two) of the following areas: psychology of health, drugs and behaviour, and learning theory. In addition to teaching courses in the relevant area(s) of expertise, the successful candidate will be asked to teach introductory courses in psychology.
We seek applicants who share our passion for, and commitment to, excellence in undergraduate teaching in a student-centered environment; who can develop new and innovative courses; successfully integrate their scholarship or research into their teaching; and develop experiential or research opportunities for students. Ability to mentor and supervise undergraduate students is necessary.
Applicants will have a record of research productivity commensurate with their experience and demonstrated ability to establish a successful research program. The successful applicant will be expected to actively participate in departmental activities, service, events, and initiatives. A commitment to an ongoing program of professional development is required. We particularly encourage applications from Indigenous scholars or teachers or researchers with experience of racialization or colonization.
