Face-to-face classes

VA 283 (Black-and-White Film Photography)

Instructor: Grace Tsurumaru, Hybrid, Tuesdays & Thursdays; 1300-1650 hours/Early Term

This course will be primarily delivered using face-to-face instruction.  Students will be divided into small groups for the second and third weeks of class to learn how to process film. After that, the class will be divided into 3 groups of 5 (one group will have 6) for darkroom printing. This means that even though the class officially begins at 1:00 PM as listed in the timetable, some of the students will be able to attend a morning session for two hours 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM followed by the second group 12:30 - 2:30 PM after which the last group will work from 2:50 - 4:50 PM. During the quiz day, the class will be divided in half: 12:30 - 2:30 and 2:50 - 4:50 PM. Before the first day of class, students will receive a detailed schedule of when they are expected to attend, within the scheduled blocks in the timetable. This will be emailed to registered students at their UFV email. NOTE: Digital cameras are not used in this course.
