How to Advertise an Event on Campus
What advertising venues are available on campus?
Events can be promoted via multiple outlets:
- TV Screens
- CIVL Radio Announcement
- Student Life Social Media
- The Cascade Newspaper
- UFV News
Who is eligible to access these services?
Advertising requests are accepted from SUS registered student organizations and UFV departments for most of the above services providing your event has already been posted on myCampusLife.

Is there a cost associated with CIVL Radio announcement?
CIVL will provide free promotion for any SUS registered student organization or community non-profit event. For-profit and focussed advertising are available for a fee.
Is there a cost associated with The Cascade Newspaper advertising?
All SUS registered student organizations receive one free advertisement per academic year. The paper's deadline each issue is Friday at midnight. For your event to appear in the weekly "Upcoming Events" listing in the newspaper, submit date, location, and time.
What audience do I reach when advertising with UFV News?
Posting requests for myUFV will appear to anyone [student/faculty/staff] logging into the system. UFV Events Calendar can be accessed by anyone on the UFV website. UFV Today enews is sent to all staff/faculty at UFV.
Who manages labscreen and TV screen requests?
Labscreens are submitted by the Student Life department; TV screens are managed by ETS [Educational Technology Services] on the CEP campus. To submit a Lab Screen - Request to Post form, first login to myCampusLife then complete the form. Note: you must be logged in to myCampusLife for the form link to connect.
