Serving many roles and functions, the Office of Institutional Research develops and participates in statistical analyses and research initiatives requested by departments and external agencies, offers support for analytical studies through the development of surveys, and provides projections, and intra- or inter-institutional comparisons on issues encompassing all university operations.

Examples of the types of analysis include, but are not limited to, trends in staffing and student enrolment, faculty workload, space utilization, program and accreditation reviews, and other areas such as planning, evaluation, productivity, accountability, and program/departmental effectiveness.
