Programa AC is currently accepting applications for English Language Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools in Spain from October 2016 to June 2017. This internship opportunity is available to undergraduate students and recent graduates who would like to enhance their career and obtain valuable experience. Free room & board and Spanish lessons. Language and Culture Assistants
Applications are currently being accepted for Language and Culture Assistants through the Education office of the Embassies of Spain in the USA and Canada. Teach English or French to students from kindergarten through grade 12. Learn more on their web page. Application deadline: April 5th.

English Language Assistants
This program offers students the opportunity to work 10-12 hours per week in an elementary or secondary school in France as an English language assistant, for 7 months (October to April). Must be 20-30 years old, be enrolled in university, have completed two years of undergraduate studies, and have a working knowledge of the French language. Application deadline: February 15th.

McGill Summer Institute for the Study of Montreal and Quebec
Students can apply for a seven-week, intensive six-credit course (100 contact hours) combining both an introduction to the history and culture of Québec as well as an intermediate French language course. The course starts on June 20th and ends on August 5th 2016. This is a unique opportunity to discover the richness and cultural diversity of Montréal, while improving your French language skills!
Explore: Five-Week Study Program
Spend five weeks studying French in either spring or summer, with students from all over Canada in a francophone university. Most expenses are covered by the Federal government and courses are adapted to your language level. Applicants must have completed at least Grade 11 or be at the postsecondary level, and have been a full time student for at least one term during the current school year. Upon proof of successful completion of program, students can obtain 3 credits of lower-level, general arts credit at UFV. Application deadline: February 28th.
Languages at Work
Designed for Explore bursary recipients, Languages at Work offers unique opportunities to continue learning their second language in a professional context. Following the completion of the Explore program, bursary recipients could have the opportunity to stay in their host region for job placements ranging from three to eight weeks. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or have landed immigrancy status, be 16-30 years old, be an Explore bursary recipient, and be available to work after the Explore program session.
Odyssey: Nine-month Work Experience
Odyssey is a full-time work experience that gives you the opportunity to live in another province, share your culture, and make a difference in the lives of young people in your host community. You will receive a taxable salary of $18,500 for the nine months of your Odyssey work team. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, with English as their first language. Applicants must also have completed at least one year of postsecondary studies. Application deadline: February 28th.

Research Studies Scholarship
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of the Government of Japan offers scholarships to Canadian students wishing to pursue their studies at a Japanese university. The Research Studies Scholarship is aimed at university graduates who wish to study as research students. The research study area should be the same field that the applicant has studied or a related field.
