Child, Youth and Family Studies Department
The Child Youth and Family Studies Department has been busy this fall with interactive student and community events:
The Department recently hosted a panel discussion with youth and their families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Insight into living with ASD was shared with a standing room only crowd.
The Department hosted our annual Welcome event for students Nov 2nd. Over 120 students attended the Abby-based simulation that provided students with a glimpse into the lives of those that they will assist in the community.
The 4th year practicum seminar was very inspirational for both students and faculty this year. It included a panel discussion by grads of CYC who have completed post-grad work in various fields: Counselling, Law, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, Play Therapy, ECE, Global Development, and Clinical Psyc.
