‌Child, Youth and Family Studies Department

The Child Youth and Family Studies Department has been busy this fall with interactive student and community events:

The Department recently hosted a panel discussion with youth and their families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Insight into living with ASD was shared with a standing room only crowd.

The Department hosted our annual Welcome event for students Nov 2nd. Over 120 students attended the Abby-based simulation that provided students with a glimpse into the lives of those that they will assist in the community.

CYFS pictureThe 4th year practicum seminar was very inspirational for both students and faculty this year. It included a panel discussion by grads of CYC who have completed post-grad work in various fields: Counselling, Law, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, Play Therapy, ECE, Global Development, and Clinical Psyc.‌
