I have questions about Psychology courses. Is there someone I can speak with?

I don't meet the prerequisites for a course. What do I do now?
As per our department prerequisite policy, if you do not meet the prerequisites for a course, you are not able to register for it. Please contact our department assistant, Tracy Porter, at 604-557-4027 or via email, if you have any questions after reading the department prerequisite policy.
I am tenth on the waitlist and I really need this course, is it possible to be signed in now?
No. In fairness to others who also need the course, we canot sign you in ahead of those higher up on the waitlist. Your best option is to remain on the waitlist and check your UFV email account daily to see if a seat is offered to you. Spaces often become available as students drop courses for one reason or another. You may find you end up with a seat in the course before classes begin.
What books are required for the course I'm taking?
The textbook list is published a week prior to classes in the Campus Bookstore, but we do not reccommend you purchase any books until attend your first class. The course outline will provide you with the list of which books are required for you course. Sometimes last minute changes occur, and if you have already purchased a book you may not be able to return it for a refund.
I am close to graduating, but I'm not sure if I have all the courses I need. Who should I talk to?
We reccommend you meet with an academic advisor at least once a year, in order to ensure you are on track for graduation. You should contact the Arts Advice Center to set up an appointment. You may fill in the online form or call to set up an appointment at 604-557-4028.
How can I find out which courses are being offered and when?
The most up-to-date version of the timetable may be found on the OReg website here. Descriptions of each course can be found in the Academic Calendar.
