Need to arrive BEFORE the official move-in date?
- We are able to accommodate a limited number of early move-ins.
- Send your request to arrive early by email to email@example.com
- Please note that there is an additional cost of $25 per day.
Arriving AFTER the official move-in date?
- With the exception of pre-arranged early move-ins, the assigned move-in dates are firm.
- Residents arriving after their official move-in date will be charged a Operational Fee of $200.
What you can bring to UFV Baker House
Our Move-In Checklist overview of items typically used in a residence room. We recommend waiting until you move-in and meet your roommate to determine who might bring certain items due to space and economic considerations. This is not an all-inclusive list; if you are unsure about an item, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Here are a few items that are not allowed in the residence halls or they are already provided:
- George Foreman grills with an open heat element
- Grills or hotplates
- Halogen lights, including lava lamps
- Iron & ironing board (provided in laundry rooms)
- Microwaves (provided)
- Space heaters
- Toaster ovens
Assistance on your Move-in Day
Student staff will be on hand to help you move in, will provide snacks and meals, and a free shopping shuttle to local stores:

Kick start your journey by attending welcome events designed to familiarize you with all that UFV has to offer.
This will be followed by our First Things First event for students living in UFV Residence for the first time.

Student Housing: First Things First
Students moving into student housing at UFV are automatically signed up for First Things First.
Moving to a new home is a big change and can be a difficult transition. First Things First is your chance to make connections with your neighbours, to learn how things work in student housing, and to learn tips for getting the most out of your residence experience. An official schedule will be emailed to all new students early in December. Below is an overview of what to expect.
