Dhami family endowment leadership award

Amount:
Varies (value of the award will fluctuate each year based on the endowment amount)

Available to:

  • One $500 award is open to a UFV student who is known for their generosity or volunteer/community leadership work. A minimum GPA of 3.5 is required. Student from all nationalities and ethnicities are welcome to apply.
  • Second $500 award will be given according to the aforementioned criteria but with specific preference to a student affiliated with the Centre for Indo-Canadian Studies in any way; and is registered or has taken Indo-Canadian Studies courses, Punjabi Language courses, Peace Studies, or Global Development courses.

HSBC endowment scholarships 

Amount:
$1,000 (2 available)

Available to:
A UFV student currently enrolled in one or more courses relevant to Indo-Canadian Studies.

Application forms for this scholarship is available on-line at MyUFV. Log into MyUFV, click on Student Information, then the tab for Financial Aid.

Deadline:
May 10

Application must contain the following:
A letter stating how the course is relevant to Indo-Canadian Studies.

TD India Canada studies endowment bursary

Amount:
$725 (1 available)

Available to:
A UFV student who is enrolled in or has completed a minimum of 6 credits applicable to the India Canada Studies program.

How to apply:
The Bursary Application is available on-line at MyUFV.  Log into MyUFV, click on Student Information,  then the tab for Financial Aid.

Deadline:
Fall Applications:  Accepted between September 30 to October 30.
Winter Applications:  Accepted between January 30  to February 28.
Summer Applications:  Accepted between May 30 to June 30.

Indo Canadian pioneers endowment leadership award

Amount:
$1,000

Available to:
A student entering their second year of studies at UFV who has demonstrated excellence through leadership in a range of non-academic fields such as community service, student activities, and volunteerism.
